12.6.1 Magnetic compass

CAUTION

The yacht is delivered with a compass that has not been compensated. Compass compensation has to be carried out under the Owner’s responsibility, after the installation of any additional electronic equipment, and should be per-formed by an authorised and qualified technician. Any electrical or metallic items located in its proximity may influence the compass.

Compensation
Compass compensation must be carried out by the Authorized Experts of the Marine Authority. As a consequence of variable magnetic fields on board and prolonged anchorage always in the same bow, the compass turns for the relevant correction must be carried out at least every year.

CAUTION

Never unscrew screws and filling caps for any reason. The only screws to be regulated are the ones of the adjusters (by means of the magnetic screwdriver provided).
When the adjusters screw slot is horizontal, the setting is neutral, when it is vertical it is maximum (see picture).
Have this operation carried out exclusively by specialized personnel.
