11.7 WINDSCREEN WIPER SYSTEM

In order to ensure a sufficient visibility under any weather condition, your yacht has been equipped with an efficient windscreen wiping system.
The system is supplied at 24V and allows activating, by means of mechanical brackets and at variable speed, the two windscreen wipers. The windscreen wiper system is controlled by the relevant panel located in the helm station of the main deck.

1. ON/OFF: wipers button activation;
2. SPEED: wipers potentiometer speed adjustment;
3. WASH: washer button activation.

The system is equipped with an emergency selector switch (4) installed on the main bridge control panel; during normal operation (NORMAL position), if the wipers do not work (control unit failure), move the selector switch to EMERGENCY and start the primary arm to ensure a minimum of visibility.
In emergency mode, the starboard wiper, opposite the helm, is activated at maximum speed.
